  • What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? 

During the opening sequence of “Don’t Worry Darling,” the titles displayed include movie title followed by director and then other contributors to the film such as the screenplay, writers, executive producers, and featured actors. This sequence occurs over a performance made by women all wearing matching white wigs. All you see is them dancing in what seems to be a dark space with nothing in it but light showing them dancing in a hypnotic way. It doesn’t really introduce any of the actual movie characters. 

 

  • What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? 

The images prioritized in this opening sequence are the large amount of synchronized, identical dancers. These dancers are supposed to symbolize the concept of unity and mirroring as they are all wearing an identical outfit with identical hair, dancing in a synchronized motion showing they are all metaphorically one. Throughout the title sequence, the dance being performed builds in complexity, starting simple and developing into an extravagant performance. 

  • How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? 

In the film ‘Don’t Worry Darling.” The thriller genre is established by the eerie dance being performed, leaving the audience feeling uneasy. This feeling is mainly established by the synchronized dancing, having everyone look identical while performing a hypnotic dance sequence. Everyone looking identical sets the dystopian setting the movie takes place in, the eerie elements of this type of community contributing to this film being a thriller film.

 Its official, pre-production has officially begun! To recap the project being dealt with, Valentina, my friend and classmate, and I are making an opening sequence to a thriller. The name we chose is "What Happened Last Night" and it unravels cryptic messages linking a friend group to their secret, regretful decisions. A huge part of this opening sequence is our choice is displaying all the title's. These titles include "Produced by," "Directed by," and such. In order to display these titles in a way that establishing the movie's thriller genre, I contributed in designing items to display the titles on. This included incorporating a title on a t-shirt being removed on a clothing rack. A priority in  this production is to condense all expenses are the production team, Valentina and I, are rather low on funds. Fun Filming! - Finalizing filming in production

 Hey readers! I'm Jack, your editor, writing to you on expansions in production. As some of you may be aware, I am currently in the middle of production for a music video. The music video is for the song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears for Fears. It is in collaboration with my best friends Valentina, Salome, and Francesco. Or honestly after the chaos day 1 of filming was, I'm better off saying they USED to be my best friends. All jokes of course! But going back to production, to summarize, my last update referred to my first day of filming. It wasn't the best experience and was definitely not the most productive. On the bright side, filming day 2 was a HUGE success! I invited everyone back to my house and it seems like everyone learned their lesson because to my surprise, everyone was on time!
