Our Movie Pitches!

Pitch A: A group of teens had a problematic summer, a mysterious figure knows their mistakes 

Pitch B: A lonely teenager develops a crush that drives them insane. 

 
Discuss Pitch A: This pitch would be very interesting and suspenseful. It would be very easy to leave the audience on a cliffhanger wanting more since each member of the group will receive their own threatening letter regarding what they did that summer. The threats would get more intense each time gradually building the suspense. Additionally, the characters constantly alluding to mistakes they made that summer but never disclosing it causes major curiosity to continue building for the audience. This is especially true as it is shown their actions will have major consequences through the letters. This pitch would also be relatively easy to do setting-wise as we can film it practically anywhere. 

 
Discuss Pitch B: Pitch B would follow the same horror path as pitch A but be more of a psychological thriller. This movie would follow mental health themes such as manipulation, stalking, and being clinically diagnosed as a psychopath. It would be about a teenager who develops a crush and to win said person over, they stalk and harass them to learn every detail about this person. We wanted to make this film, because we enjoy exploring different elements of horror films and would find creating psychological horror a very thrilling and creative experience. However, with the deep and tormenting topics this film explored, we were unsure as to who will be able to fulfill the role of the main character and be comfortable enough to do so. 

 
Our final decision: Since we found more doubt due to casting in pitch B, we decided to do Pitch A: A group of teens had a problematic summer, a mysterious figure knows their mistakes.
