Intro - Music Video

  When starting this blog, my goal was always to use this as an outlet of my self-expression. So, allow me to introduce myself. Starting at my core, my name is Jack Olson. I’m a fifteen-year-old sophomore who attends Fort Lauderdale High School. Academics have never been my specialty, but at this school I was able to discover my passion for marketing and advertising. My freshman year I took a class called “Marketing Essentials.”  I never found myself creative, but in this class, I was able to articulate my own personal brand and use my creativity to design its color schemes, logos, and overall branding. This very skillset is what lead me on to being the only student in my county to qualify for a regional entrepreneurship challenge. I ended up winning 2nd place and $1000, now leaving the question if I will choose to continue this journey into the national ranking of the challenge. Some other school extracurriculars I find myself invested in include Key Club. I took over as Vice President for this service hour-opportunity club and have become very invested in making it the next big thing. Even though every email I send regarding this club gets ignored, I’ve stayed determined to spread the word of this club. Another school invested activity I participate in is our tennis team. Even though it’s not my greatest skill, I’ve always found tennis a peaceful experience. However, I must admit I will get very competitive very fast, but nonetheless I love to keep a good attitude and have good team spirit. But outside of school, I found my passion for baking. This started during finals season, which was admittedly not the best timing as I found myself baking cookies rather than studying marine science terminology, and as carried all the way through into sophomore year. I find baking brings me moments of peace through perhaps stressful episodes of life. They're very few things I enjoy more than baking up some fresh pastries and seeing my friend's reactions when they give them a try. It’s actually become one of my routine activities where I will bake some uniquely flavored desserts from scratch, like perhaps tiramisu cookies, and then present them to my closest friends during our lunch period. It’s also essential to add the sense of accomplishment that flows over me when they bite into my desserts and share with me their love for my baking. Speaking of friendships, I find my current ones to be the closest friendships I’ve ever had. Throughout middle school, I was constantly switching groups and was very unsure how that would play out in high school. But I was lucky enough to find my group of people who I think I’ll stay close with for my 4-year high school career. In fact, I suspect these individuals will be part of my group commercial. So with that being said,
