Current Commercial Plan!
Props:
Since Jack and I collectively chose the Bath and Body Works commercial, the central prop will be some of their products. This product will specifically be a body spray, and the scent will be “At the Beach”. The other probs include a computer, beach ball and towel.
Costumes:
This commercial focuses on two subjects. These two characters will begin the commercial wearing dull clothing with limited colors and designs. This clothing will be lounging wear as the setting will be a house. Clothing includes hoodies, sweatpants, tank tops, and socks instead of shoes. In the next setting, the subjects will be wearing beach clothing. This will consist of bathing suits, cover-ups, shorts, and flip-flops.
Schedule:
On 09/06/24, both members discussed various brands and finalized on filming a body spray commercial.
On 09/13/24, both members established details for all props, costumes, various locations, filming schedule, and our destined back-up plan.
On 09/18/24, both members will comply with the storyboard blog details and collaborate to create the storyboard blog.
On 09/20/24, both members will meet at the first location to film the commercial opening scenes and get multiple exceptional shots to provide options for when in editing.
On 09/21/24, both members will meet at the second location to film the remaining scenes, also making sure to get multiple shots to ensure the perfect one is taken.
On 09/22/24, both members will meet to review all footage taken and edit all of it to be together in a cohesive matter.
On 09/24/24, both members will finalize the production details during their shared class period and review the final product.
Location List:
Our first location will be Jack Olson’s house. At his house, we will film the two subjects in their normal mundane lives. They will be filmed lounging on the couch, one with a computer. One subject will be filmed using body spray. After this, the subjects will be transferred to the beach.
We’re using the beach as our second location because the body spray used will have a scent that is beach-related, in its name and its actual scent notes. At the beach, we will film the subjects enjoying their time and being content. This will help emphasize how the scent is bringing them to the beach and making their day much brighter and happier. In turn taking away that gloomy before feeling.
Backup plan:
A backup plan is essential mainly because of the commercial involving a beach. While both producers live a relatively close distance, they also live in an area where weather is subject to heavy fluctuation. With the high chance of one production day having rain, we plan to reschedule to a day when it doesn’t, even if that means it's still cloudy. In the scenario where we must film on a cloudy day, we plan to use some movie magic to still make the location look bright and sunny, despite the chance of there being clouds. By doing this, we can still drive forward the transition from down and gloomy to bright and happy.
