Acting: Depending on the character, the actors may try to act scared and frightened. Or they make act creepy, and scary, to scare/ haunt the main character(s).
Makeup: Fake blood, and special effects such as fake cuts, or punctures in the skin are normally used. Makeup may also be used to make the scare actors more scar. Or standard makeup products may be used to make the characters seem worn out.

Elements I like: I like the suspense that horror films create since it adds to the story feeling of the genre. The suspense makes for a more interesting story, which makes you wonder what happens next.
Elements I don't like: Overall, in most horror films they all have the same vibe/tone. Outside of the plot, the movies don't really change.
